Objectives

An evaluation tool for the performance of Radiologic Technology students was developed and its effectiveness in assessing the student's skills was determined. A clinical performance evaluation would be a guide to evaluate or assess the performance of the students under clinical settings. This tool can also determine if the students are making progress and identify areas of performance that may need special attention.

Using the tool in the areas of General Radiologic and Radiologic Science, 51% of the students achieved an excellent level of performance from the first evaluation, then a consistent outstanding performance on the second  third evaluations. A consistent outstanding level of performance after the evaluation indicates that the tool is effective and can be easily used. Results suggest that the students can adopt the given criteria on the developed rubric for clinical performance evaluation.
