Bioassay of indigenous plant products used in traditional folk medicine.

Analgesic order 8301, bioassay procedures for analgesic was developed using a device to measure/record animal responses to painful stimulus. Preliminary trials of charcoal tracing methods in measuring antidiarrheal effects, and sensitivity of method in measuring dose-response relationships was done. A cough chamber was also designed for measuring antitussive effects of plant products. (Author)
