The objectives of the project are to undertake macroscopic and microscopic descriptions of priority medicinal plants and to provide pharmacognostic data for the correct identification of medicinal plantsThe plants and parts to be studied are: 1. Cucurbita maxima D. (kalabasa) seeds; 2. Cinchona L. (cinchona) bark; 3. Tinospora reticulata M. (makabuhay) stem; 4. Asclepias curassavica L. (bulak-damo) leaves; 5. Phyllantus ninuri L. (sampa-sampalukan) leaf, stem and root; 6. Raphanus sativus L. (radish) root; 7. Hibiscus rosasinensis L. (gumamela) red flower; 8. Centella asiatica L. (takip-kohol) leaf; 9. Persea americana mill. (avocado) leaves; 10. Premna odorata Bl. (alagaw) leaves; 11. Mangifera indica L. (mangga) leaves; 12. Coriandrum sativum L. (coriander or kulantro) seeds and 13. Lagerstroemia speciosa L. (banaba) leaves.
